Privacy notice

Phlo Academy is operated by Phlo Systems Ltd (UK) together with Phlo Systems B.V. (Netherlands). This notice explains what we do with the information you give us on this site.

What we collect

For interns: your name, contact details, education, skills, interests, availability, links you choose to share and your motivation statement. For enquiries: your name, work contact details, company and message.

Why we use it

To match interns to internship projects, to coordinate placements, and to reply to training and hosting enquiries. Our lawful bases are your consent (interns) and our legitimate interest in replying to business enquiries.

Who sees it

Phlo Academy coordinators, and the host firm of the project you are proposed for or placed on. If you were referred by a partner organisation, we may tell them whether you were placed. We never sell your data.

Where it is stored and for how long

In a secured cloud database (Supabase), with access limited to coordinators. Intern records are kept for up to 24 months after your internship ends (or after registration if you are not placed) so we can provide references, then deleted.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, or withdraw consent, at any time. Email info@phlo.io. You can also complain to the UK ICO or the Dutch Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
